Sir Patrick Hogan Precedence Melbourne Cup Winner in 2010?

In 2010, Sir Patrick Hogan is looking for his first Melbourne Cup Winner. Having been knighted back in 1998, he is one of the great horse breeders. Back when he won his first AJC Derby Winner 42 years ago, he has always wanted a Melbourne Cup.

Precedence is a horse he partly owns. Having bred many horses, Sir Patrick Hogan has made many success stories. He grew up as an Irish born New Zealander and has one many horse races in New Zealand. He has won the Auckland, Wellington and New Zealand Cups but has yet to be part of a Melbourne Cup Winner. The Melbourne Cup is the ultimate race of horse racing Australia. We even have a day off for it.

The Melbourne Cup this year will be a very memorable one. It will be the 150th Melbourne Cup. It first started back in 1861 where a horse by the name of Archer won it.

A close friend of Sir Patrick Hogan is Bart Cummings. Bart Cummings has many success stories of his own. Having won 12 Melbourne Cups and 7 Caulfield Cups he is in the hunt for more this year. Bart has trained many Group 1 winners and should be training Precedence this year.

Will Precedence take precedence over the other horses this year in the amazing horse race. Time will only tell. The first Tuesday in November this year will be a day we will all remember. The race that stops a nation has just gotten a whole lot better. For further information regarding the Melbourne Cup go to: http://www.egglets.com/melbournecup
